FAQ: What box strengths are available?

There is a lot to consider when it comes to choosing the strength of cardboard boxes to buy. In fact, the most important specification to take into account is whether the box is a single wall with just one layer of fluting, or a double wall with two layers of fluting.

The difference you are faced with here is the fact that double cardboard boxes are generally stronger and more ridged in comparison to single wall boxes. Despite this, total wall thickness should always be considered.

Box Styles

Cardboard boxes are most commonly seen in the FEFCO style 0201. This style uses flaps at the top and bottom of the box which may be taped together once they have been assembled.
